Bench Fee:
Our bench fee, or basic diagnostic fee, is $30.00 (minimum) plus tax. This is what we charge to investigate and diagnose the problem and to provide the customer with an estimate for the cost of repair (including parts and labor). This fee is non-refundable and will be included in the total labor charges for the repair should the customer opt for completing the repair as per the estimate. There may or may not be additional labor charges incurred for a given repair. This fee is subject to change without notice but we will make every effort to update our listed rates as promptly as possible.
Labor:
Labor charges for computer services are billed in increments of 15 minutes at $10.00 per quarter hour, equating to $40.00 per hour. Labor charges for photo services are billed in increments of 15 minutes at $15.00 per quarter hour, equating to $60.00 per hour. Labor charges may be incurred over and above the bench fee but the bench fee will be credited toward the total labor charges in the event that the customer chooses to have the required repairs completed. This rate is subject to change without notice but we will make every effort to update our listed rates as promptly as possible.
Labor Warranty:
At Ultima Laptop, we take pride in our workmanship and commitment to quality. All repairs are covered by a 30 Day Store Warranty on labor. Under this coverage, we will affect repairs if the problem recurs as a result of our workmanship, at no additional charge, for a period of 30 days from the initial date of completion. Pre-existing issues, defects, or damage, whether hardware or software, or those which result from customer modifications, abuse or neglect after pick up, or issues that are otherwise caused by factors beyond our control are not covered by this warranty.
Parts:
Replacement parts may be required to complete your repair. At Ultima Laptop, we prefer to use only new replacement parts that meet all OEM specifications. We always strive to locate parts that afford the best value for the customer. Occasionally, we may, with customer approval, choose to employ used parts. In some cases no warranty will be offered on used parts, in which case, the customer will be advised. We may require a prepaid, non-refundable deposit on parts that must be ordered for the repair. Of course, no deposit is required for parts that we already have on hand.
Parts Warranty:
Unless otherwise specified, all replacement parts are covered by a 30 Day Store Warranty. Under this coverage, we will replace the part if the problem recurs as a result of failure of the replaced part, at no additional charge, for a period of 30 days from the initial date of completion. Some new parts may be covered by the manufacturer for an extended period, in which case, the customer will be informed. Pre-existing issues, defects, or damage, whether hardware or software, or those which result from customer modifications, abuse or neglect after pick up, or issues that are otherwise caused by factors beyond our control are not covered by this warranty.
